When Melanie and Ryan asked if I’d be interested in going out to Rome to photograph their wedding, it took me all of two seconds to think of my answer – roughly the same amount of time it takes me to eat a slice of cake.

Undoubtedly the hottest wedding I’ve ever shot, the ceremony took place in the spectacular Farfa Abbey, a Benedictine monastery in the Sabina region of Rome. The reception was then held in a private villa that Melanie and Ryan had hired for the week.

The yellow sunflower theme worked perfectly, while the surroundings provided breath-taking views. We were also able to take advantage of the stunning sunset to capture some great shots of the happy couple towards the end of what was an all-round amazing day.

Here is a selection of shots from the day. If you were a guest at the wedding, you can access the full set of images from the galleries page.
