Can you photograph our wedding?
I’d love to! Just drop me an email to check my availability and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
What do we need to do to confirm a booking?
Simply fill out the booking form (which I’ll email to you) and send it back to me with a £300 retainer. Your date will then be confirmed. The balance will be due one month before the big day.
Which areas do you cover?
Anywhere and everywhere, from the UK to overseas! Weddings outside of a 100-mile radius of my home address (Stratford upon Avon) will carry a charge of 50p per mile.
Do you offer half-day coverage of a wedding?
I believe that wedding photography should tell the whole story of the day, so all of my packages include full-day coverage.
Are you insured?
Do you offer pre-wedding shoots?
Yes, they’re included as part of most of my packages.
What does a pre-wedding shoot entail?
It’s a great chance for the two of you to get used to being in front of a camera. Unless you’re professional models, chances are that you may not be too familiar with being photographed all day, so a pre-wedding shoot means you’re likely to be a bit more relaxed around a camera on the wedding day itself.
The pre-wedding shoot can be done anywhere you like; at your wedding venue itself, a nearby park, a place that has some special meaning to you, or even your back garden. It’s completely up to you.
It’s also a good opportunity for us to meet before the wedding and talk through timings and any key info I should know.
What should we wear?
Again, the choice is yours. My only guidance would be for both of you to aim for the same level of dressed-up-ness (yes, that’s a word). The pictures may look a bit odd if one of you is wearing your best outfit and the other is wearing a vest and shorts.
Do we have to have a pre-wedding shoot?
Not at all. They’re not for everyone. I do always try to at least meet up for a quick chat before the wedding though. I like to get to know the people I photograph.
On the day
Will you personally be photographing our wedding?
Absolutely. Come rain or shine, I will be the guy behind the camera.
What time will you arrive?
As early as you’d like me to.
What time do you stay until?
Usually until the evening celebrations are in full swing, so beyond the speeches, the cutting of the cake and the first dance. Full-day coverage means exactly that.
Do you do traditional group shots?
Of course! My passion is in the story-telling aspect of the day, so formal shots aren’t my main style, but I’m always more than happy to take them because I understand how important it is to have a record of the people who were present on your wedding day. All I ask is that we try to keep the number of formal shots to a realistic number (about 10 should suffice) so that your guests don’t begin to suffer from boredom or achy cheeks!
Do we need to cater for you?
Ideally, yes please. It needn’t be anything extravagant; so long as it can help keep up my energy levels for the day. It would be a bonus and an honour to be sat among your guests, as I love getting to know people. It’s also a great opportunity to get shots of the reception.
How soon after the wedding can we see the pictures?
It depends on the time of year, as obviously the summer season can get pretty busy. I tend to post a sneak peek image on my facebook page within a couple of days of the wedding. I’ll then try to get the full set of images completed and back to you within four to five weeks. You’ll get to see your slideshow at the same time. Then, once you’ve received all of your images, I’ll post the full storyboard on my website.
How many images will we receive?
It can vary from wedding to wedding and it naturally fluctuates depending on how long the wedding day itself was. But you can expect a good few hundred shots, including a selection of them converted to black and white. You’ll also receive a full set of images in low-resolution too, which are quicker and easier for sharing online.
Do you offer albums?
Yes, a whole range of them. After your wedding, I’ll send you across some pricing info and you can then decide how you’d like to showcase the photographs of the most important day of your lives.
What’s your favourite part of a wedding?
The cake. Obviously.
